A few words about us
By virtue of Executive Order 001 of 6th July, 2015 i.e. Kaduna State Ministries Restructuring Notice, which reduced the number of Ministries from (19) to (13).
The Ministry of Local Government and that of Chieftaincy Affairs were merged together and renamed as Ministry of Local Government Affairs and saddled with the following functions:

Mandate
- Promoting, supervising, regulating and co-ordinating the activities of the 23 Local
- Government Areas in the State.
- Managing all matters relating to the Traditional Institutions in the State.
- Proposing policies and programmes aimed at enhancing security and maintenance of Law and Order as well being and betterment of various communities in the State.
